Gold, Double Gold, Best in Class, Sweepstakes at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Club Competition + numerous others.
Alapay Cellars was founded in 2001 and continues its successful operation in Avila Beach, California.
Annual revnue is approaching the $2M mark. Events are selling out and additional ones are being added to the calendar.
Business is highly scalable and current licensing supports the addition of two tasting rooms. Wine production capacity can support doubling the capacity with no new capital expenditures.
2025 recipient of 10 prestigious awards at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Club Competition, including Gold, Double Gold, Best in Class and 3 Silver.
Presently, the separate wine making facility does not have a tasting room alongside. As the wine making facility is leased, there is immediate flexibility to move to a retail space with secondary tasting room to duplicate the revenues
of Avila Beach.
Our 2014 Ultra Reserve Zinfandel was well-received and one example of how our patrons and wine club members embrace higher end wines.
Alapay's success has been 99% Direct to Consumer. Imagine the revenue of their award-winning wines in restaurants, wine outlets, hotels, bars and stores. The 12:01 Anytime after Noon Santa Barbara Consult and Dry Rose' Beach Blush could be targeted for large distribution.

We visit the area annually and always make time for Alapay and love the live music, charcuterie board and all of their wines. This time our server was Jennifer. Her knowledge of the wines was informative and her timing between pours was good. We were very comfortable and the atmosphere was enjoyable. This is one of our favorite places. Our favorite is the Rebekah Cab. Unbelievable great taste.
This place has great wine. They make you feel like you are a valued customer and it's clear that it's a goal of theirs to just make and sell great wines. A very welcome change from most other wineries around here. The waitress offers us many other wines that weren't on the tasting menu so that we could see if we liked them and made us feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this place if you want some good wine and a good experience.
We have been there close to a dozen times and it's always been a great experience. It's a small tasting room and it can get busy but you will find that a little patience will pay big rewards.
Of course the best part is their wines! We are big red fans but we even like their whites. Like us, you'll probably be tempted to join their wine club. They always ship their best ones!
